Hi all
The summer is coming to an end fast. In Cork the summer is officially over when both All Irelands have a result, we then turn our attention to the oval ball and the q4 run into Christmas.
August has been very busy for IEG; Backlinksstore will be finally launched on September 1st. We are now working with 3 new clients in the US and this month will finally see us move to our new offices into Limerick City. We also have a number of offers for current and new clients during September which will all be placed on our website. www.iegmarketing.net
It is very important that we keep placing time and money on researching Google changes and developments. We must ensure that all our clients are achieving the best possible service 24/7.
Our economy and Nama are the talk of every village, town and city in Ireland but after listening to and reading 50 different economic advisors opinions, I’m still baffled, can anyone agree? Or do we have any idea how bad the situation is?
Everyday business’s on ground level are sick and tired of listening to negativity and want to get on with their work and lives. Booms and Recessions have been part of life for a very long period and will continue for many years to come. We must ensure as business owners, managers etc that we keep building long lasting business relationship and provide a professional service. I will however keep reading details on Nama until I figure it out!
Congrats to Kieran Egan’s Safety tech who won this months case of wine from The Wine Buff.
Best wishes also to Radek (senior tech manager) who will climb Mount Blanc for Children’s Leukaemia in September.
Finally, I am praying daily in the hope that Cork will win the 2009 all Ireland.
If anyone has a few spare prayers, please send a few in Corks direction!
Many thanks and best wishes for September 2009

PS: Delighted that Padraig Harrington has also found his swing. I wish I could find mine
Any tips are welcome!

Radek climbs Mount Blanc in aid of Children's Leukaemia Association

Our Senior Technical Manager Radek Kotlarek will climb Mount Blanc in aid of Children’s Leukaemia Association:

To donate for Children’s Leukaemia Association: Log onto http://www.mycharity.ie/event/radek_kotlareks_event/
You can read about the adventure on http://climbing4charity.wordpress.com/
Here is an extract from Radeks Blog
I am going to climb Mont Blanc through the longest route available: 3 Mounts traverse. The name of this traverse is coming from fact, that you need to pass 3 other peaks in order to finally reach Mont Blanc (4807m): Aguile du Midi (3532m), Mont Blanc du Tacul (4100m), Mont Maudit (4345m). There are serious parts of climbing an ice wall, especially when coming to Col des Maudit.
Total difference in attitudes from starting point is 2500m. Temperatures might be as low as -30 degrees. On the top of Mont Blanc, there is only half of the oxygen available at the level of see. Air pressure is 40% lower. This brings a huge risk of high attitude illness to people who are not well acclimatised. To reduce this risk I am going to stay in des Cosmiques hut for one or two days before the actual peak attack. I will have to leave the refuge at 1:30 am on the summit day.
Meet JJ Murphy - Senior Designer with IEG
Position: Senior Web Designer
Family: Two brothers, one lucky girlfriend. From: Kilkenny. Car: None yet, I am that person who always needs a lift somewhere. Favourite Sports team: Manchester United. Why: I had a united jersey as a child and luckily it stuck with me. Also had a Nottingham Forest jersey was a good decision to go with United. Favourite Food: Anything with Chicken in it. Name favourite restaurant: Emerald Garden, Kilkenny
Name favourite holiday location: Corralejo, Fuerteventura Favourite Movie: Ironman / Fight Club Favourite Actor Actress: Will Smith / Helena Bonham Carter Favourite Band: Nirvana / Damien Rice Favourite Book: The Da Vinci Code Most expensive item you have purchased: My industrial size computer complete with reinforced titanium case and "mood lights" - necessities. Any outside influences: Artistically Jack Vetriano and Caravaggio. How bad is this recession? Depending on your circumstances it may not be as bad as it's made out to be. There's a lot of money to be made right now, especially on the internet. If you have the right idea at the right time you will be very successful especially when things start to pick up again.
Any advice for clients? Make sure your website is attractive and easy to use. There's no point in getting loads of visitors if they only turn away on the front page and don't explore further. A great design will help engage them and make them want to see more or come back.
